Film & the United Nations

As the producer of the short fiction film No Monsters in Berlin — winner of the Cannes Independent Film Festival and the NY Short Film Festival — Andrea Wozny arranged screenings of the film for the 2017 Conference on Refugees and Migration at the UN headquarters in Geneva and NY, as well as distribution via the United Nations “I Am A Migrant” platform. In conjunction with the fiction film, Andrea shot and directed a behind-the-scenes documentary to present at the UN. See below. This documentary features the Syrian refugees that participated in the fiction film —as both actors and crew. The spirit behind both films was to rehumanize “refugees,” and meet the people who are blankly labeled and categorized in mainstream media.
